20 Nov 2017

To mark International Children’s Day 2017, Nurture Outdoor Kindergarten is excited to announce the launch of ‘Nature Nurtures’, a new early years’ conference dedicated to helping children grow and progress organically.

With the first event due to take place on Saturday 19th May 2018, at Europe’s largest children’s library - The Hive, Worcester – Nature Nurtures will be the first conference of its kind for the early years sector, providing a firm focus on the importance of providing young children with an organic and eco-friendly environment to grow and develop.

Entitled “Defending the early years: Respect, Collaboration and Communication”, 2018’s one-day event boasts an impressive speaker line-up, with RIE® Associate, author and international speaker, Deborah Carlisle Solomon confirmed as the keynote speaker.

Delegates will also benefit from workshops and the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, whilst gaining an understanding of what it really means to be an important person in a child’s life.

Co-Founder of Nature Nurtures, Hannah Reeve, confirmed: “We’re so excited to be launching the Nature Nurtures 2018 Conference. This is about building strong relationships with families and like-minded educators, ultimately leading to better outcomes for children. Starting with Nurture Outdoor Kindergarten where we have seen first-hand what nature and a play-based curriculum offers children, we are on a mission to share knowledge and practice.”

The first Nature Nurtures conference will commence with registration and a Resource Fair at 8:30am, with the first talk starting at 9:30am. The event will close with a featured panel, comprising of three speakers.

Hannah continued: “At Nurture Outdoor Kindergarten we draw inspiration from Resources for Infant Educarers® (RIE®), an approach founded by infant specialist and educator, Magda Gerber. With Deborah Carlisle Solomon as keynote speaker we have a wonderful opportunity to explore ideas around what it means to respond to babies and children respectfully, as well as how to support them in developing confidence and resilience. Those attending the conference will have opportunity to reflect on their own views of babies and young children, and will go home with practical ways to implement RIE® principles.”

Tickets are on sale now, with an early bird price available until 28th February 2018. Click here to find out more.
